Step into summer with Teen Services! Teen Services’ Summer Programming is designed to support academic, social, and personal growth for Sonoma Valley teens. In collaboration with the Sonoma Valley Education Foundation, the program offers a diverse range of opportunities that strengthen social-emotional learning while helping teens explore their interests, gain college and career readiness skills, and build life skills for their futures. From career exploration and leadership development to wellness, community engagement, and hands-on experiences, each program is thoughtfully designed to help teens move forward with purpose.

To support participation and recognize commitment, students will receive a stipend upon completion of selected programs.

Our programs are designed for Sonoma Valley teens, typically incoming high school students through rising seniors. Students entering 9th grade are welcome to participate in all programs. Registration is free for all teens.

Teen Services will be open Monday through Friday, June 8th through August 7th, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Hours may vary slightly on days when programs include field trips or off-site activities, and participants will be notified in advance of any schedule changes. 2026 Summer Program Offerings

First Year Connections is designed to help incoming freshmen feel prepared, confident, and excited as they transition into high school. Through interactive activities and guided discussions, participants gain insight into what to expect during their first year of high school. Topics will include how to manage new responsibilities, how to navigate academics, social dynamics, school resources, and more. The program creates a welcoming space where students can ask questions and start forming a sense of belonging before the school year begins.

Throughout the experience, students will connect with older peers, explore Teen Services opportunities, and visit local volunteer sites to see how they can get involved early on. By building relationships and becoming familiar with available support, participants leave the program feeling more connected and ready to take on high school with a strong foundation and a clear sense of direction.

The Driver’s Ed program is designed to help teens build the knowledge and confidence needed to take their first step toward becoming safe, responsible drivers. Through a structured online curriculum, participants will complete the required coursework to earn their Driver’s Education certificate—an essential requirement for obtaining a learner’s permit through the California Department of Motor Vehicles.

In addition to completing the course, participants will receive guidance and resources to support them through the permit process, including test-taking tips and an overview of what to expect when visiting the DMV. This program is focused on the educational component only and is intended to prepare teens for success on their permit test. Please note: this is not a behind-the-wheel course and does not include any in-car driving instruction.

The Lovin’ Oven Culinary Academy is a 20-hour immersive academy in partnership with Sonoma Family Meals which introduces teens to the foundations of the culinary arts. Throughout the program, participants complete a ServSafe food handler certification course through ServSafe, building critical knowledge in food safety, sanitation, and professional kitchen standards recognized across the food service industry. Students also develop core culinary skills, including basic knife techniques, kitchen terminology, and essential cooking methods, all within a supportive, hands-on learning environment.

The experience is designed to blend skill-building with real-world exposure, helping students understand both the craft and career possibilities within the culinary field. The program concludes with a field trip to the Culinary Institute of America, where participants gain insight into advanced culinary education and explore what it takes to pursue a future in the culinary industry at a professional level.

Girls’ Group is a supportive, empowering space designed for teen girls to connect and build relationships together. Through guided discussions, hands-on activities, and mentorship, participants explore what it means to step into adulthood with intention and self-awareness. The program encourages open dialogue, personal reflection, and meaningful peer connections in a safe and welcoming environment.

Throughout the experience, participants are encouraged to recognize their strengths, embrace individuality, and support one another as they navigate life’s challenges and transitions. Girls’ Group also focuses on building practical life skills and fostering a sense of community, helping teens understand their ability to positively impact the world around them.

Boys II Men is a supportive program designed to help teen boys recognize their strengths, build essential life skills, and develop a clear sense of direction as they move toward adulthood. Through engaging discussions and hands-on activities, participants explore identity, personal responsibility, and the habits that contribute to long-term success. The program creates space for honest conversation and reflection while encouraging social-emotional growth.

A strong focus of the experience is helping participants begin thinking about their future careers and the pathways available to them. Students are encouraged to connect their interests and strengths to real-world opportunities, while building the mindset needed to pursue meaningful and sustainable work. Boys II Men supports teens in shaping a vision for themselves—one grounded in the belief that they can become the men they aspire to be.

Our Post-Secondary College & Career tours are designed to help students broaden their understanding of what comes after high school by exploring a wide range of post-secondary pathways. Participants will visit colleges, trade schools, and local workplaces to gain firsthand exposure to different learning environments and career opportunities. These experiences are designed to help students see the many directions their futures can take beyond a single traditional path.

The Teen Wellness Week is a 4-day retreat-style experience designed to help teens step away from daily stressors and focus on wellness, self-discovery, and connection. Throughout the program, participants will take part in engaging day trips that combine fun, spending time outdoors, and movement.

Each day is intentionally designed to introduce teens to different aspects of wellness, including mental health awareness, stress management, mindfulness, and healthy habits. Through guided activities and reflection, participants will learn practical self-care strategies they can use in their everyday lives while also developing a stronger sense of identity and self-awareness.

Keystone Leadership: Impact Week is a dynamic, service-driven program designed to empower teens to create meaningful change in their community. Throughout the week, participants will rotate through different volunteer sites each day, contributing hands-on support to local organizations while gaining a deeper understanding of community needs and resources. 

This program encourages teens to step into leadership roles through service and community engagement. Participants will explore how their passions and interests can translate into advocacy and action, learning practical ways to uplift others and drive positive change. Keystone Leadership: Impact Week is all about helping teens realize their voice matters and equipping them with the skills to make a lasting impact in their community.
